Mersey MINI Club (MMC) was set up in late 2010 by a group of friends that met through the MINI scene, to share MINI/Mini advice and experiences as well as giving our members a place to show off some nice photos of their cars.
Our first club meet was on a wet Sunday afternoon in a pub car park in Liverpool early in 2011, with 7 MINI’s turning up. Over the following months, more meets and convoys were organised and the club started to grow in size and we welcomed members from further afield, with runs of over 20 cars becoming regular events.
We attend a number of MINI shows around the country with our club stand, as well as following MINI Challenge events at various tracks such as Oulton Park and Donnington. Out of show season we meet up for Breakfast once a month followed by the odd little drive afterwards, around some great roads in the North West, including The Evo Triangle in North Wales and we often join up with friends from other MINI clubs events and drives. We hold our annual charity run in November for Children in Need and over the last 6 years have raised more than £4200 for the charity.
Oh and remember! you don’t have to be just from Merseyside. Our members come from Liverpool, Southport, and the Wirral as well as Chester, North Wales and further afield … everyone is welcome at MMC!
The club is run by members for members as non-profit, it is free to post and ask questions, however, if you wish to make a £10 donation this will go into the club funds, for website costs, banners & flags for shows, gazebo to keep our members dry or cool etc.
